The “1 Visit” Fully Transparent Joining Process
1. Please complete the questions on the MPI
Application Form that you are comfortable
with, print it and bring it with you for your complimentary
consultation. If there are questions where you have no strong
preference, please write "OPEN". You can fax the application form
to MPI on (03) 9646 5403 (dedicated fax #) before your consultation if you wish.
Please do not try to email the application form. You need to also
bring positive ID (should include your current address), usually your driver’s
license, as this is a
quality screened appraisal service.
But most people
are more comfortable coming and meeting Andrew then filling in
the easy to read printed application form.
Please phone for appointment between 10am to 7pm, Monday to Friday
and 10am to 5pm Saturdays. No appointments are accepted via email
as Andrew needs to talk to and appraise every potential applicant to judge if
the person is well-spoken and realistic. At the same time, Andrew
can answer your questions. The longer Andrew and you talk, the
better chance that MPI can be of assistance to you. If you make
an appointment, generally, you will have spoken to Andrew for
20 to 60 minutes.
2. Andrew will then meet with you. Based
on your application form, Andrew will discuss your expectations
(how realistic you are) and determine whether or not MPI can be
of assistance to you. Whilst you complete the MPI Application
Form, Andrew will give you the free "Welcome Kit" including list
of quick successes, the first introduction and other info for
you in particular. In the unlikely event that MPI cannot be
of assistance, MPI will take no payment from you.
You can then make a decision, after 30 minutes, on joining or not joining. If you
elect to join, allow 1 hr 45 mins or longer from here to complete
the process. MPI is Melbourne's only always personal consultant agency, but
MPI fees are around one third (33%) of the other single
professional screening agencies. There are no contracts to sign
for future monthly or regular contract payments. If you join
after multiple appointments, you need to pay consultation fees.
A generous 20%
discount is given if you join on first appointment with clear
funds (cash, bank cheque, money order), making the net total
joining fee under $1000. No credit cards, no debit cards, no
EFTPOS. For personal cheques, the applicant needs to come back
after 1 week to finish joining up, therefore no 20% discount.
If you demand priority service or are especially select, a
different fee structure applies. Usually only one or two
priority / VIP clients are accepted at a time, as this work is
very time-consuming.
3. Andrew will then take at least four quality photos
of you. (Andrew has also been a professional
wedding photographer and has taken photos of many clients’
weddings.) You own the copyright to the photography and around two
weeks after joining you will receive a confidential plain envelope
including:
- A copy of the sheet with the best photo, or photos, of you
edited and mounted, and
- More information including a second week progress
report and a summary of
your probable strong points and any possible challenges
that may arise. This letter also confirms you live at the
address you gave MPI. This is for client security.
|
Andrew will make up your file, which is on a personal first
name basis, and run through with you the rest of the joining
process paperwork including the 3 day Government “Cooling Off”
period, services outline and the MPI Code of Conduct. You receive
a copy of every form. Andrew will also explain about the form that
records two-way client pleasant feedback.
How long will it all take? The
process this far usually takes about one hour. The remainder of
the process below usually takes another hour (or longer if you
instruct Andrew to phone/contact more clients on your behalf).
4. You complete what you are comfortable with on the form titled
“Your Personality”, whilst Andrew starts compiling your anonymous
profile about you and what you seek. You can amend your profile at
any time. Every client profile is different. Andrew works with you
to also realistically describe your physical appearance on your
profile. For your security and privacy, profiles are not
electronically transmitted and profiles do not show photographs of
you – unless you so instruct MPI. Once you have successfully partnered your
profile is stored for 7 years in your file and your file is
archived.
If you later need to reactivate, a reactivation fee may be payable. If a fee applies, it would be based on the amount
of work MPI estimates involved, as MPI knows the client. A
discount may be available if the client can show, to the
satisfaction of MPI, that the client is now in financial need, as
MPI is also run as a community service.
5. If you so elect (and most clients DO elect!) Andrew then starts
to compile a tailor-made list of potential profile matches for
you. This list becomes the “Starting Point”. Andrew will talk you
through this and with your permission phone/contact potential matches for
you, usually initially selecting YOUR BEST OPTIONS: matching
clients who have requested another introduction. Andrew will
usually have pre-alerted 3 or 4 clients after you made your
appointment and before you arrive. If the client is
not available, Andrew will usually leave the anonymous message,
“Please call Andrew in Port Melbourne”. This is a "fully
transparent", no "smoke and mirrors" business.
When a client has agreed to meet you
or Andrew has left a message for the client to call back, Andrew will make
you a photocopy of that client’s profile with that client’s
contact information. Andrew will also supply the client live on
the phone with your contact info and profile (a hard copy can be
supplied later). Usually Andrew will SMS/text a further hard copy
to each client before the new client, who is currently joining, leaves.
Your “Starting Point” list of potential options is detailed and
usually fields are personally customized for you. There will usually be over a
dozen (and usually not less than half a dozen) potential single matches.
Do not expect to meet every option. MPI clients are discerning
and aim for quality of matches, not mere quantity. The right
introduction for you may be a client joining after you, if it's
not one of the first 3 to 6 clients you have met. No new client
has ever met every client on the new client's list of potential
options. On a yearly average, if "the one" you partner with is
not one of the first 3 to 6 you have met off that list there is
an even money - 50% chance - that your future partner will be a
person who joins after you. The initial list gives you a "flavour"
for what is available.
After you have met 3 to 6 clients and submitted your
written/email pleasant feedback, it is helpful if you phone Andrew and
talk through this list, as there will probably be some options
that we can "cross off", delete, once MPI clearly understands
who is your "type". Once MPI understands
you and your relationship needs expect to receive less but more
appropriate introductions.
At the end of joining, Andrew will usually recap the process. By
the time you leave you will be comfortable and satisfied about
your participation in the process and have the first confirmed
"live" introduction to an appropriate match! or matches!
Free for the client's asking, Andrew will also give you a
copy of the list: What a select man seeks in a lady, or What a
select lady seeks in a man. Andrew will also discuss this in
detail with you if you so wish.
When wishing to contact Andrew, bear in mind phone and SMS
messages are actioned same day but emails are not checked daily.
Email is for ongoing pleasant feedback only.
NB: E & OE subject to variation as MPI is always improving client
services. Full information on MPI printed forms.
