Q2. Are members serious about their future?

Members hope to find that "special someone" leading to a wedding (for people wishing to have a family) or a committed long-term relationship. Most MPI members have established lasting valuable friendships and more! MPI seeks  to achieve member's long-term goals.

Q3.   Can you tell me the qualities a select lady seeks in a man?
Can you tell me the qualities a select man seeks in a lady?

Yes, the detailed lists are available in the form of a written list, free for MPI clients.

Note: the lists are quite different.

You receive hardcopy information including the three key things you need to "keep in mind" to get to the second date when you are face to face with a person you would like to see again (assuming you are an overall match for each other . . . which you  may not be if you were NOT introduced by MPI).

Do you know the single most important feature an attractive woman seeks in a man in a relationship?

Q4. How can I be sure the people are safe to meet?

All MPI clients are personally screened face to face by Andrew for 2 hours or longer. Andrew has been interviewing people for 20 years. All applicants need to provide photo ID, usually your driver's licence.

After each meeting you need to provide pleasant feedback to Andrew. This feedback is kept and alerts MPI to any concerns.

Anyone proving to be unpleasant will receive no further introductions.

Normally MPI can recommend a client, after one month's membership, as a client who has "proved to be pleasant and realistic", as most new clients have met three or four clients in the first month's membership.

MPI has made some 40,000 successful introductions:

  • No one has had a nasty surprise
  • No one has seen a client and wants to "run away"
  • No one has been "stood up"
  • No one has been stalked
  • No one has been a victim of crime
  • . . . because Andrew meets every client face to face for 2.5 hours minimum!

Q5. What geographical locations can I select?

Most MPI clients select matches as being with a 20 minute drive from home.

Men should have a reliable car, unless you live in the CBD!

Many clients are "open" about the location as in the fullness of time clients expect to living together/married with the right person. They feel that if it is meant to be, it will be!

Q6. Has MPI had many clients marry?

Yes and around half of ladies joining are recommended by their girlfriends who have married/partnered through MPI. More men seem to be somewhat shy about admitting to having used a matchmaker!

An obstacle MPI encounters in tracking marriages is that once member's put their files "on hold", since they want to be exclusive, it can take several years before they actually marry. "On hold" files are archived by MPI for 7 years, but sometimes MPI does not directly hear of our successes. Sometimes Andrew is invited to the wedding as a guest or as a wedding photographer.

Q7. What does MPI see as its most important service?

Three things.

#1 - The most important aspect of MPI service is that Andrew meets and appraises every couple, meeting for a date, for five hours combined to secure accountable, appropriate matches. MPI is Melbourne's always 100% personal consultant agency.

#2 - Affordable prices - usually one third of what the other Melbourne screened professional agencies charge. The large membership pool and Andrew's personal appraisal and matchmaking skills give you choices that you would never have on your own.

#3 - Appropriate introductions until you partner.

You are not pressured into meeting someone you really don't want to meet - just tell Andrew if you've spoken to a client and decided meeting is not in your comfort zone.

Q8. Does MPI also cater for seniors/retired people?

Yes! Just as long as the applicant is active, pleasant, realistic, well spoken, well presented and drives a car. Must be six or more potential two way matches.

Seniors also need friendship/companionship and love.

Q9. Does MPI also cater for young adults?

MPI works hard with young people as well. Ladies start at 18, men start at 29yo. Again members need to be serious about their future, and MPI needs to have 6 or more potentially appropriate matches for you.

Q10. How much does it cost until I partner?

Applicants receive a 20% discount if join on the first appointment with clear funds (cash, bank cheque, money order), making the net total joining fee under $1000.

MPI has no non personal consultant service. MPI has no time limited membership. MPI has no compulsory ongoing monthly fees subject to client abiding by MPI code of conduct and agreement.

Q11. Does MPI offer any guarantees?

Yes. Andrew is dedicated to matchmaking and will go the extra mile to help all clients who prove to be realistic and pleasant to deal with.

  • MPI has always been at the same address.

  • MPI has made some 40,000 successful introductions:

    • No one has had a nasty surprise
    • No one has seen a client and wants to "run away"
    • No one has been "stood up"
    • No one has been stalked
    • No one has been a victim of crime
    • . . . because Andrew meets every client face to face for 2.5 hours minimum!

  • MPI introduces you LIVE, so new clients can expect to meet the first appropriate match before the 3 day Government Regulations "cooling off" period has expired.

Indeed the success stories section lists many letters from new clients who've partnered within 24 hours of joining! (These clients usually joined on Friday afternoon, or Saturday)

The Best Guarantee

Once joined, MPI offers pleasant and realistic clients introductions until each client partners subject to client abiding by MPI code of conduct and agreement. That's Australia's best guarantee.

Matchmaking is not just MPI's business - it's Andrew's hobby!

Q12. Does MPI accept credit cards?

No. The Department of Justice will tell you that most of the people who've "lost thousands" through agencies have lost it via their credit cards.

You can pay by Money Order, Bank Cheque, cash, or Personal Cheque (PC - allow 1 week to clear, so need to join over 2 meetings, therefore no 20% discount).

Q13. Where do clients meet?

Most clients feel most comfortable having the first meeting at a cafe or a quiet restaurant, i.e. public place. A simple invitation "for a coffee" or "for a drink". That way if there is strong mutual chemistry you may both decide to go on and extend the first meeting meeting to dinner or a walk along the beach.

MPI recommends if you are unsure about a meeting, to have a second meeting with the client. Andrew is happy to offer you guidance once MPI has received the pleasant feedback you both need to supply.

Q14. What happens after I meet a client?

Just inform MPI of the pleasant feedback (see below) and let MPI know if you plan to meet again or if you'd like the next introduction or just call Andrew personally and discuss your options. There is no more to pay MPI. MPI is happy for clients to call two or three times in the first week, to ensure each client "settles into" the MPI program. Andrew will answer all your questions.

Pleasant feedback should be in your own style, not only via SMS, and include:

  1. How long together on first meeting
  2. Have you made a time to meet again?
  3. Would you like to meet again?
  4. What features / qualities you like in the client
  5. If you would like the next free introduction

It is important to advise MPI if you would like to meet again so MPI can encourage you to then "get together" for another meeting!

You need to provide written (email, fax, letter) pleasant feedback after each introduction but, at the minimum, at least after each 3rd introduction or you cannot request further free passive introductions. It is better for you to also, at the end of pleasant feedback, provide a summary of who is the most appropriate for you so far.

MPI can provide you with pro-active feedback to be of more assistance to you. If unsure about the first meeting MPI recommends a second meeting.

If you are "seeing"/dating a client, it is better that you also advise MPI of this so MPI is not inadvertently working against you.

When you are dating a client it is not necessary to inform via feedback as MPI does not "micro-manage" clients' lives. You can, if you wish, keep in touch say, via member's email (private) address. (Remember I can still do wedding photos!)

If you had 3 or more meetings/dates with a client, it is not necessary to state how long was spent on dates or what you do on each date.

In the first couple of weeks it is best to phone with pleasant feedback. No feedback should be sent via SMS as I cannot print in hardcopy to save in your file. Ongoing pleasant feedback must be written via email, fax or post. You should also provide written pleasant feedback after each introduction, together with an up-to-date summary of which clients have been the most appropriate for you so far after each introduction if possible but at least after every third introduction.

Q15. How long does it take?

To appraise you and confirm if MPI has six or more matches for you (plus 1 hr before you arrive): ½ hour

If you stay and join, a further: 1½ hour (plus)
Then to introduce you live: ½ hour

Total

2½ hours plus

To meet first introduction - 1 hour to 3 days.

To meet my partner - 1 hour to the last introduction.

If an agency tells you that you just need, say, five introductions or, say, six months membership - this is called deception.

You need to expect the right introduction for you to be the "last one you meet".

With MPI the most likely partner match will be the first introduction, otherwise it could be the fourth or fourteenth introduction, but you can expect it to be the last introduction.

Because there are no ongoing monthly fees, MPI has a vested financial interest in partnering clients as quickly as possible.

Q16.    Once MPI gets to know me and my relationship needs, how quickly will MPI notify me if MPI feels a new client joining may be a "perfect match"?

Live. You can expect a call from MPI at the end of that new client's 2½ hour joining process. If MPI waited for weeks like other agencies, the window of opportunity may have closed as attractive people are in demand.

Q17.   How many introductions will I receive?

This depends on you and what you are seeking. Every case is different.

MPI seeks appropriate matches until you partner, the emphasis is on quality not mere quantity. The more reasonable and realistic you prove to be, the more potential introductions subject to client abiding by MPI code of conduct and MPI agreement!

Usually clients meet the most matches in the first month of membership. Then once you inform MPI of "your type", MPI will aim to offer you the most appropriate matches (unless you're already partnered).

In general, the busier half year is the warmer months: November to April.

Q18.   Is there any benefit in joining an agency whose membership finishes on  a certain date?

None, as you can expect the right introduction for you to be the last client you meet.

Unless that agency gives you a written money back guarantee!

Q19. What is your success rate?

MPI's success rate is that your membership lasts until you partner. Over 85% of MPI clients go on to form lasting relationships, i.e.:

  • Around 1 - 2% fail to abide by MPI's code of conduct and this cancels membership. Clients must remain pleasant, realistic, well spoken and well presented.

  • Around 10% of clients become "long term" cases.

  • Some clients lose contact. It is the client's responsibility to notify MPI of changes to client's contact details.

  • The balance, say 85% of clients go on to partner and are helped directly or indirectly by MPI to find that "special person".

Why should a client's membership expire if that client is still unpartnered and has proven to be pleasant and realistic to deal with? It should not!

What happens if the day after that client's membership with another agency expires, that agency then joins a new client that might be your perfect match?

When an agency is getting monthly (credit card) payments from all clients the worst financial outcome for that agency would be to partner clients quickly, as that agency then loses two clients paying every month. Whereas, at MPI the best financial outcome is to partner clients quickly as the only compulsory fee is the joining fee.

Q20. Why should I join MPI?

MPI is Melbourne's always personal consultant professional agency. MPI gives you very personal service with access to a large quality personally appraised membership base and works endlessly (subject to MPI code of conduct) for you so that you become successfully partnered.

The low joining fee means you have nothing to lose and lots of pleasant, realistic like-minded clients to meet. The only hard part is to get started!

Meet Andrew at the Port Melbourne home/office then meet the first appropriate match within 72 hours! (if that fits your schedule and your comfort zone).

MPI joining paperwork is simple, straightforward and in plain easy to read English. Only two sentences were written by lawyers. There is no "small print" and no small print on the back in any MPI forms.

In a nutshell: MPI offers you introductions until you partner (subject to MPI's code of conduct: Just be pleasant and realistic!). Appropriate as Andrew has met and appraised each couple meeting for 5+ hours combined in each case.

Q21. Can I stay and chat longer than ½ hour without joining?

No, not unless you pay consultation fee. This includes if you want general advice on self-improvement, charm, presentation, etc.

Note (i): If you join, Andrew covers this free of charge during the 2½ plus hours joining process.

Note (ii): At the end of the 2½ hour plus joining process Andrew will recap and answer all/any remaining questions.

Note (iii): Doctors, Psychologists and people with net worth over $10 million can expect to take 3½ plus hours to join.

Q22. How will I know when I meet the right girl?

That's easy...she'll tell you! (Joke)

Q23. How will it take to meet the first client after I join?

Within 24 hrs is the average for clients joining Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon.

MPI usually does not micro-manage introductions - so it is up to you, your schedule and your comfort zone.

Clients joining early in the week do not usually meet "same day" as 95% of MPI clients work "9 to 5, Mon to Fri".

How it Works - After you've Joined

Q24. What feedback do clients need to give after each meeting?

Email, fax or letter with pleasant feedback in  your own words, including how many times you met the client, or if one time only, how long you met.

Also need to say if you have "made a date" for next meeting or if you'd like to see the client again.

If you don't want to see the client again, would you like the next free introduction?

No feedback by SMS.

Q25. When is the busy season?
